The fisheries sector in 2020 will focus on granting certification to brackish shrimp farms (tiger shrimp and white-leg shrimp), tra fish farms and aquaculture in cages.
Agriculture Minister Cao Duc Phat said yesterday that localities
nationwide need to step up efforts to ensure sustainable aquaculture,
especially of key products like shrimp and tra fish.
An unusually strong performance in the first two
months and Japan''s easing of its seafood import restrictions has raised
expectations that Viet Nam''s fisheries industry will meet its annual
export target with relative ease.
